On 2nd June 2026, Homework Hub in Sarajevo became a vibrant space for dialogue, collaboration, and civic engagement as young people, community members, civil society organizations, business representatives, and local stakeholders gathered for a Community Forum focused on shaping the future of their communities.
The event was designed to demonstrate how local democracy works in practice and to encourage citizens to take an active role in decision-making processes that directly affect their daily lives. Through interactive discussions and simulation exercises, participants explored real community challenges and worked together to identify practical solutions.
Community forums are much more than meetings. They create opportunities for people from different backgrounds to come together, exchange ideas, and build a shared understanding of local issues. By encouraging open dialogue and mutual respect, these forums help ensure that diverse voices are heard and valued.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in a structured forum process that mirrored real-life local governance practices. They discussed issues relevant to their communities, analyzed root causes, and proposed actions that could contribute to positive change.
